  • Warranty issue- what would you do?

Ontop of not being able to get the last 1/3 of travel.

Question is- why should I have to wait until mid-Nov at the latest for something that cost me £500 two months ago?

Would you suck that up? Maybe I’ve got a different perception of service levels that you should expect?

Would you wait that long for a car part for your car under warranty?

Because is is the 127th pair of forks you’ve returned to them as a warranty claim, and frankly they’re sick of the ****ing sight of you?

    Jus’ sayin like….

    No, don’t accept it.

Your contract is with whoever you bought them from – it’s down to them to sort it out.

I’d start with them and explain you’re epxecting to ride your bike int he meantime and what can they do in terms of either replacement or loan forks as the ones you have are clearly not fit for purpose.

One quick Q: have Fishers actually got hold of the forks and confirmed your diagnosis of the problem or are they workign on your ‘it’s broke and needs replacing’ diagnosis?

I though you always had spare forks?

Hora – You know those mentally unstable care-in-the-community cases that go in and confess to murders they didn’t commit? And the police take a statement off them just to humour them?

Thats how every bike shop views you. Jus’ sayin like….

I used to have a spare set of forks when I owned Lyrik 2steps.

wwaswas – I’ve had exactly this problem before. The large high speed compression dial is stuck solid and I’m not getting near all travel.

I wouldn’t touch Marzocchi ever again.

    what have the retailer offered?

you know they’ve probably gone through about 3 changes of ownership since your last experience?

Hang on a minute! I’ve just realised something. The only forks of yours that have ever lasted were a set of Marzocchi’s. Were they Z1’s? They’d always come out when you’d imagined/broken whatever you were running at the time.

    What happened to them?

Waht is it with you and forks?

May a suggest a mid 200-s marzocchi mx pro – even you cannot break them surely? No knobs to twiddle, nowt to break.

If you don’t want to wait your right is a replacement set from the shop. I’d get someone else to return them tho – they might know your reputation

TJ I had 36 floats for 18months. I fancied a change and bought these Lyriks.

I’ll probably go back to 36 floats are there simple/easy to maintain.
