hi

after making a turntable shelf – gf likes neat, stylish etc things, I want something that will reliably support a fairly heavy 50cm deep turntable (so shelf 50cm x 50 cm) (to brick wall)

trouble is wall mounts need to be neat, stylish and she likes glass and for style reasons the large, functionally effective, cheap large L shaped brackets are out ……..

any ideas ?

I’ve used these before and they’re OK if the wall is sound. If there’s a gap between the plasterboard and the brick I wouldn’t use them though.

You’re into brick so you could do a floating type bracket – screw threaded rod into drop-in anchors then depending on the thickness of your shelf either drill holes to slot onto the rods, or put a couple of o-rings on each rod and sit shelf on top?
