Yep, he was in open. 15 years inside and almost 60 years old, probably considered low risk. (the clue is always in the wording, you can’t escape from an open prison, you abscond)

Abscond = can’t be bothered to hang around here anymore, Christmas is coming. I’m off.

I hated doing abscond paperwork when our place was Cat D, ruined your telly for about 2 hours! 😉
