Lived there for 2 years – will be pleasantly warm during the day but you may catch a few Mediterranean rain storms. Don’t expect there to be much life – most places are tourist oriented so will be closed or shortened opening hours, but depends where you’re planning on staying. The very tops of the Troodos might still have a bit of snow too.

Sorry, assuming you’re visiting the south. The north is much nicer, more friendly and less touristy and there is a fantastic mulit-day ridge walk along the top of the island from east to west (or vice versa).

I *think* I’ve got a cycling in Cyprus routes leaflet knocking around somewhere. PM me if you want it and I’ll go and try to find it.

Aside from illegally occupying the island still…
I’ve found the south to be superb – the Akamas peninsular is very much worth a visit on foot & these guys http://www.mountainbikecyprus.com/ apparantly run a good mtb tour.
alternatively a quick search on the various mapping and tracking sites will prove successful http://connect.garmin.com/activity/257080619

The Sunshine Cup is seen as the European MTB season opener, worth a look if you’re over at that time.

Of what overall relevance is that to the OP’s question though…?
