clearly not – according to the news that car was a vauxhall passat !

W8s are always cheap as engine parts prices are horrific!

I knew an owner of one who bought another w8 Passat in order to use the engine and break the rest of the car working out cheaper than just repairing his own (he was a big Passat fan).

That looks like 9mm in the boot, so I’m really surprised that the interior is still in good shape. I would have thought that the rear seat would be a bit messed up.

Still, it’ll be a great story to tell people in your local…

I wouldn’t touch it with a barge poll though, I owned a Passat with a non-mainstream engine, a V6 diesel and that’s not even in the same sport as rare as a W8 and any parts for that that were specific to it cost 3-4 times as much as the ones for any of the 4 pot cars.
