  • Virgin Active Membership vs. specialist classes

An ongoing litany of tedious injuries and a home workout regime which is struggling to keep up has left me considering a Virgin Active membership at my local gym (Edinburgh Omni).

The other local gyms are cheaper but don’t appear to offer the same variety of classes, and specialist classes such as Pilates just don’t have the same flexibility, hence me paying £140 for two blocks of classes before Christmas and only making about 1/3rd of them… 😳 It appears I could do a Pilates class or something similar (a half hour ‘core’ class for instance) almost any day of the week at the Virgin Gym.

Virgin is expensive though and don’t appear too keen to offer trial memberships so I could see what the classes were like or how difficult it was to get in during popular times.

Can any other Singletrack injurinos share their experiences of using Virgin Active for rehab?

    Cheers
