Save yourself £40 and get an MD80, I got one and my housemate splashed out on the Veho, we agreed that if there was a diference, the MD80 was better.

Just remember to get a high speed card for it (class 6 or class 8) otherwise the quality suffers as it cant write quickly enough.

Ah the good old Chinese practice of cloning the stuff you contract them to make for you, and selling it cheaper! That MD80 looks exactly like a MUVI!

I have a Veho MUVI and I would say it is OK, tiny and works fine but the picture quality is not much better than a phone of a few years back and well below iPhone/iPad/iPod video quality, which does not seem great for a dedicated device.

I found some software called VReveal on the web that makes the videos look much, much better. Well worth a look for any low quality video (even some ripped DVD’s and the like have benefitted from an edit).

Had one of those cheapo Chiniese ones, was ok for the price, but now I’m waiting for one of these to show up in the post next week, gets good reviews and that’s a good price imo. (actually it’s gone up 10 quid in the last couple of days, got mine for 75)

They are not bad, but not worth £85
I got one a couple of years ago when tesco where selling them off
It was ok until it suddenly and mysteriously died at lee quarry
Still under guarantee but veho where of no use at all and tescos even less interested
Ended up in the bin after 4 months
Oh and the mounts are all utter garbage, without modification they are too wobbly for decent off road footage

How do these compare to the likes of a Kodak Playsport ZX5?

Those Kodak ones looked interesting, I read plenty of reviews, got good write-ups, but went for the MUVI HD7 one because it came with plenty of mounts and the video quality was good enough for me.

How would you mount the Kodak zx5? I have a sony bloggie that I’d like to try, but I’m suffering for inspiration on how to mount it in any kind of useful way…

I read somewhere it was more allong the lines of VEHO bought a job lot and branded them rather than the Chinese factory stealing the design.

There’s a chest mount for the Kodak playsport range, but it’d need tilting up to provide a better angle on the bike I reckon.

Or go home made – plenty of vids of how to make one on you tube.
