  • UST tyre on none UST rim as part of ghetto set up??

    I've got Panaracer Fire XCs on my bike, and a Joe's Tubless kit (OK, not really ghetto).

    My problem is that the rear tyre (steel bead) blows off the rim with very little effot, however the front kevlar beaded tyre doesn't/hasn't.

    So would a UST tyre have a tighter bead than the steel bead tyre, and if so can a UST tyre be used on a rim that is not UST specific?
