To continue the theme with my lightweight cheapskate wheels…

Somewhat inspired by a video I saw this morning, has anyone tried using bog standard valves cut from an old inner tube instead of the stans universal valves? Rim is the olympic. I guess it might make getting latex in a bit tricky… any way of doing this without taking a valve stem out?

my first forry into running tubeless 🙂

    works fine

i sent my valves to inverness with the missus – and wanted to be tubeless for a ride up glen clova.

cut up 2 old tubes – et voila !

oh aye – i had yellow tape in on 355s – you need to cut a square profile on the valve seat

also re latex – just stick it in beforefully seating tire !
