Anybody used these on road shoes?

    Do they work?

You’ll wear the cleats out very quickly unless you never put your feet down.

Isn’t that the point of the rubber side bits on the cleats above?

Those look like a great idea, I bought some road shoes last year and stuck my crank bros cleats on – this is not safe – slipped ar*e over t*t. Promptly removed and went back to mtb shoes.

These would solve this problem and my road shoes could be resurrected 🙂

yep, I use them. They are fine. I don’t get on with the float on roadie pedals so I prefer spuds. This means I can use decent light roadie shoes.

I use a pair of these for much the same effect:

depends if your road shoes have the two bolt holes like on mtb shoes or not. Mine only have the 3-hole pattern on road cleats.

    they look usefull
the funny thing is I often use MTB shoes for triathlons especialy if there is a fair distance between the transition and bike mount dismount line,,
as i struggle running in bare feet also feel secure dismounting at speed in mountain bike shoes
