How do i get it to use the OS map i have put on the SD card instead of streaming a map off the net?

I have it on the SD card on my HTC Desire.
Just going to the “Maps” menu option and selecting “Ordnance Survey Maps” from the (long) list of options works for me without any problems.

Not sure what you mean, as the maps should download over the network.

If you mean recording the track of where you’ve been, I’ve not used it for that. One quick test in the office caused it to crash, but then there’s not satellite visibility in here, so maybe that’s not fair on it…

What program are you using to create the maps?
I use on my computer Mobile Atlas Creator,
All I had to do was download the SQLiteJDBC.jar and place that in the Mobile Atlas Creator directory, start the program up creat the map wich is saved as a .sqlitedb move that to a maps directory on my sd card.
In Rmaps make sure the map is enabled under settings, then when in the area select the map you want.
