The USE skewers I had several years ago were probably the worst product I have ever bought: They were light, but just never gripped the wheel tight enough.

Stick to Shimano and you won’t go wrong.

Fine on a road bike, not really good enough for mountain bikes I’m afraid

Pete Laing (father of the 7-Stanes) had a spin stix break while descending. Didn’t look like much fun.

IMHO steel skewers are the only way to go when using discs.

Tune ones work well if you want light weight, not cheap mind.

One thing you never want to be light are skewers, stick with Steel. Hope/Shimano etc.

I’ve had a pair for about 5yrs now.Never had a problem, they’ve been on a couple of bikes. But only x/c use with 160/180mm brakes. Not sure I’d use them with bigger discs.
