Otherwise, EE’s 4G Max is best as you connect to local LTE/4G networks and the fair usage limit is 15GB/month with no restrictions. Expensive, though, as you can only get it with a phone and a two-year contract.
Just got 4G Max, unlimited calls/texts, 12GB/month inc US/Canada, SIM only. One year contract. £20 (plus VAT).
Though existing customer deal it seems with promotional discounts (normally £32.99 per month, but still SIM only 1yr contract).

To add not in the UK to start with…. So was just looking for a decent US network
Not sure there is such a thing 😀
Might depend where you are as to which is best.
Major ones are T-Mobile, AT&T, Sprint and Verizon. Then there are loads of virtual operators who use those networks.
Check what the phone supports for US bands on those networks also.
Think you can just walk into somewhere like Walmart and pick up a PAYG SIM. Not sure if you need a US address to register though.
