    only got 120gb and would like to get 320 but still have a couple years of applecare so dont want to invalidate the warranty-anyone had it done by a reseller? ballpark price?

    Dunno but I DIY’d mine this week, was easy enough if you’re competent at that sort of thing. Top tip would be reset the PRAM afterwards, to prevent a delay on boot as it’ll be confused the boot device changed.

    It all depends on whether they supply the drive i guess, as they might do the labour for free as it is only a 10min job really.

    Did mine myself using the IFixit guides. Easy enough and you will save cash…well assuming you have the right tools.

    yeah not gonna DIY it as that’ll void the applecare, tempting as it is. what drives did you both use?
