Now… I have an old Yeti 575 (one of the first to hit these shores) and it hasn't had anything serviced or replaced since I got it in late 2004. I am torn between using what I have that is reasonable and replacing everything else, or go for a new off the peg ride.

This is nothing imminent, I will probably try and get next summer out of it and see whether I am using the bike enough to justify the expense (last couple of years I have been too tied up with train wreck life to get out). Kind of toying with the idea 😉 I don't think I could justify the cost of a full custom build again – and the off the peg Rocky Ridge I got a couple of years back purely for abusing the Welsh trail centers suprised me with how good it was!
