The transformer that 4 of the under cabinet lights are connected is rated for 10w G4 bulbs with a total rating of 60w. If I wanted to change the bulbs to 20w for example would it just be a matter of swapping the transformer to one rated at 100w? Or do the transformers have a limit on individual lamp wattage?

Why not just change the bulbs to LED? More light, less power, same transformer.

To answer the question 🙂 the transformer won’t care what the load is as long it has enough total power. Might need to check that the cables and bulb holders are up to it though.

Can’t just change the bulbs to LED as there isn’t a G4 bulb small enough to fit in the holder. I’ve ordered some LED fittings to see if they’re bright enough. Just looking at other options in case they’re not.
