Front dérailleur on the road bike has seized up, guessing it’s road salt and generally crap as I can’t see any signs of rust or anything more serious.

Seems wasteful to bin it so what’s the best thing to use to try and revive it?

Anything I can soak it in to bring it back to life?

plusgas works – takes a while as road shite turns to a sort of tarmac coating IME

(don’t forget to lube it properly afterwards
