    scruff –
Lucky man. Saw Mudhoney at the International 2 in Manchester – you got Nirvana as a support act, we got some band called Hole, with a gobby female singer called Courtney Love.
Don't remember them being much good!

Ooo, classic STW Oasis haters. Argueably the biggest band of the last 18 or so years, its heyday in the 90's and no mention.

And Fools Gold is wrong. It was the song that prompted John Squire to quit the Roses because he didn't like the direction they were going in and so brought an end to one of the best bands ever. So for that reason, Fools Gold isn't 'the one'. On the flip side, he went on to form the shortlived Seahorses which were excellent.

So the correct answer may be She Bangs The Drums by the Roses but is probably something from Definitely Maybe, Cigarettes & Alchohol maybe?

Looking at all these, you know? If ever there was a genre of music that remains "Of it's time" then 90's Indie must certainly be it. Great back in the day, but some of these tunes are so shite when you listen to them now…And I was a real fan of a lot of these bands. So few of these have stood the test of time

Isn't that true of most genres though nick?

I agree Nick but some of them really do still stand up in my opinion. Not that many but some are still very good.
