Getting some front mech cage rub while in low-low on my Ultegra mech. The Low adjuster has seized and I can’t turn it. Have tried WD40 and chain lube to try to free it – the blighter just won’t turn either way.

Should I live with the rub – only in low-low, or is there something I can do about it?

I have the same problem but with a cheapo Tiagra mech, totally seized and I haven’t found a solution. Helpful I know lol

Mine is worse actually – it started with chain rub but when I last replaced chain + rings I discovered I now cant shift the mech far enough to get off the biggest ring.

I was going to buy a new one but my performance has improved so much by staying in the big ring Iv decided not to bother.

Moral – cheap, old, broken parts make you go faster than shiny new ones!
