While I have no desire to go ‘home’ I don’t ever bad mouth the UK, it has so many positives that I miss hugely. Some are pathetic really but the humor is the key one. Some places are different to others. I really miss sitting a nice pub having a nice beer, eating some mildly hairy snack and talking sh1t.

The weather affects life so much here that I can really see me moving to Italy or Spain one day. We can’t get our sports, socialising or work done as well cause of it. I am a sun person and when the lack of it affects happiness so much it’s a sign to move. I hate the way we are forced to think in such a pc-manner by media and spineless governments, in a way that is detrimental to efficiency and fairness.

Australians seem infinitely happier than us. I can see why.

NZ? LOL! I doubt the Maori will welcome you with open arms (check youtube Link).

On the whole i’ve found them to be just like everyone else trying to get along in life, unless you include the militant loonies, but then I don’t think that all of the indigenous UK folk are members of the national front either.

I’ve lived in NZ for 5 years now. I don’t think that i’d return to the UK. NZ isn’t perfect by any means, but I prefer it, but i’m sure that many don’t for what ever reason.

What it is better for in NZ (in my experience) Schools, weather, work/life balance, food and wine, so pretty much most of my needs covered. Health care is very good and TV reminds me of the 80’s.
