    I think I have created a winner.

Good job it is dark when I go out with this.
Reminds me of Trout and the Halogen floodlight strapped to his.

I hope there are no trees on your ride? I have enough trouble with just a torch on top!

It would look better with the battery mounted alongside the light.
Do you wear a neck brace with that contraption ? 🙂

It is huge , but light. I would love to know if i could directly wire the 14.4V into a small 4 die torch thingy. Battey pack also has the buckpack.

Trout is responding to my light….. My goodness.
Nimh , the old lump worked really well tonight.
    4 trustfires, blue laptop cells.
Trout, what could I run on 14.4v to improve things?
Would like to order lenses and optics only from cutter and have a go at making it smaller.
Quite happy to stick to CPU heatsink to keep costs down.but only if brightness is improved. Currently using crees from 2 years ago.

Well done Wally, who cares how big/ugly it is. Youve had the enjoyment & experience from building it up from scratch and have now got the extra enjoyment of using something youve built. 8) cant get much better than that.
