for truly epic ugly you need a pronghorn….or Halifax filing cabinet. Nothing else can match the “welded by a blind chimp” beauty of a five or the truly orthopaedic shoe proportions of a pronghorn.

It might look better with proper, man-sized wheels and with tyres like those you might be able to fit them in.

My Hemlock is, er, functional. But I love it, honestly the best bike I’ve ridden, and not by a little. Absolutely filled with Rightness.

But looks quite a lot like this:

My Dare on the other hand…

no, the dare is soooo wrong it’s right. It’s a bit like granny porn, you know it’ll make most folks vomit and then after a while you appreciate that you can still get jiggy with it

It was properly ****… The guy I sold it to was convinced it was beautiful. I did consider calling the police.

For the loverz and the haterz,

It’s like 2 different teams of designers both sat down to design the world’s ugliest bike, without comparing notes, then they combined the results by chopping them in half and nailing them together.

Got 2 Pronghorns, and while the PR6-LT is very gopping, I think the XC-SW Carbon is positively sublime. Proper function over form over function madness.

As Ellsworth’s go, that’s positively restrained! Almost conventional you might say…

A 150mm stem would finish that Klein off nicely.

That layback post + Maverick looks like some optical illusion.

Half the reason to buy a bike is what it makes you feel when you look at it.

Built up a spare parts bike a few years back, with a cheap full sus frame I found on ebay.

In retrospect I want to dig it out the cupboard under the stairs and build it up again. It even had some Floats for a while, its biggest failing was the rear shock was absolute turd.

That red thing – I had forgotten about this until I saw that pic: My mum bought a cheap exercise bike… my brother weighed a little too much and sat on the thing and started pedaling… gradually the seat bent until he was sat on the floor.

    It’s already got a 120. I think that’s quite long enough 😉
