Both can be had for £20 each, tubeless ready. Anyone got any comments + or – on either as a winter tyre?

    Cheers,

Evans in Nottingham price matched a pair of mud x tyres yesterday.
Just take in a copy of JeJames or Bike+ prices.
    Job done.

Stuart – I've a Mud X on the back of my hardtail at the moment. It seems good – not as draggy as a trailraker and seems to find grip on most swampy surfaces. I've not tried it out much on rock yet – not been out much recently mainly due to lethargy. Must try harder!

I'm the same SF. Had a cold and been uninspired to get back out in the Old Testament weather we've been having. Hopefully back to it this week since I've only got 6 weeks to get some Puffer training in – hence the need for mud tyres. Think I'll give the Mud X a go.

    Maybe catch up this week.

Yeah, will see what the weather is like on Thursday. I may venture out.

The Mud X tyres are superb – I run 1.8's in mud and they blow trail rakers away. Good clearing, excellent grip and well worth a go for £20 a tyre!

I like the 2.1 Mud X, however they do seem to wear down fairly quickly. Still, at £20, why not?

Mud X all the way, they're a great winter tyre, much more usable than most 'mud' tyres.
