Being more of a roadie who uses the MTB more-so in the Winter, I noticed the other day that my Spesh Purgatory and Ground Control tyres (Controls), have a min pressure rating of 35psi on the sidewalls.

Ive run them far lower than this tubeless with no problems. Why such a high rating? Is this their rating for using them with tubes fitted or what? Anyone any ideas of what they can safelt go down to? I’ve probably run them with a max of 30 psi in them mainly.

Fitted to Arch Ex rims btw and I’m +/- 78kg

It’s a cop out in case you damage the walls running them at 20psi.

Schwalbe cyclocross tyres are high pressure recommendation, it’s cobblers if you put them to the pressure they state as a minimum there is no grip.

When you push down on the top of the tyre with the palm of your hand and touch the rim you’re starting to flirt with the boundaries of too little pressure.

Figured it must have something to do with litigation etc…

    Great tyre combo anyway.
