I have a Raleigh Tyre Pressure Gauge, I just cant get it to work.
Im sure it cant be that hard 🙁

I have Presta valves, I unscrew to open them, push on the gauge to read the pressure and all it does is let the air out no matter how its pushed on, quick or slow.

Is there something Im missing? I know it was only £7.99 but I’d quite like it to work for that price.

    Any help much appreciated.

Wonders what is wrong with squeezing your tyres to feel how hard they are 🙁

Mibbe it doesn’t work for Presta valves? If it’s designed for car tyres (Schrader) then this is quite probably the problem.

druidh, this is the gauge. It has a small hole, nowhere near big enough for a Schrader.

shindiggy – I often just kick my car tyres and hope for the best.

Could be a dud – or you’re not pushing it on far enough?

MAybe it is missing an o-ring to seal or something?

Had a look, yeah it has got a rubber sleave just inside the valve end.
Just seam to go far enough to seal I dont think.

iv,e got one of them. are you resetting it(little button)each time you want to check the pressure.

Yeah I do reset the little button, but I cant get a proper reading as all the air is rushing out one pressed on to the valve. No matter how soft or hard its pushed it just doesnt seal and get a reading.
    Thanks for comments.
