I require a grease gun for my 5 spot. Are they readily available. And what type of grease is required.

    Thank you

I use manitou M prep grease (what Turner used to recommend), think you can get a grease gun to fit it as well.

    Here,
You can get a Weldtight one with the same nozzle for a lot less but it’s not bent so you have to unbolt some bits to get on some of the ports,

It’s a much easier job with the bent grease gun.

I think Turner recommend a different grease now, but I’m still using M-Prep as that’s what I’ve got.

Yep Turner recommend superlube now for the bushings etc.

M-prep works well in UK conditions but is very sticky.

Superlube feels smoother but needs re-lubing more often.

How often are you adding grease ?

I have spare grease guns and grease that I don’t use

You don’t purge the bushes when you grease them, you just top them up until you feel resistance on the grease gun. M-prep was probably about every ten rides, superlube is every other ride. I wasn’t adding much at all though. I do little and often.

Just out of interest, where are you all getting Superlube from, to fit the Turner grease gun?

I can only find it in 85g tubes, isn’t that too small for the gun?

    Thanks, Ben.
