hi all,
I have a bit of noise coming from my frame but no play as yet.
I noticed it has little grease ports between each set of bearings. I’m guessing this if for the addition of clean new grease and have been lent the equipment to put some in this. Unfortunately i have no idea how much to add or weather this is a good idea.
any tips?

How long / how old is your bike it may need new bushes if you have never greased them!

Grease the pivots once every 10 hours of wet riding or
less frequently in dry weather. The pivots have extremely
tight tolerances and the rubber o-ring seals do a good job
at keeping debris out. When you do get ready to grease,
make sure to clean the zerk out well with a toothbrush or
nappy rag before greasing so you don’t push any dirt from
the mouth of the zerk into the pivot. Use Manitou Prep-M
or a similarly thin viscosity grease (Turner recommends
Prep-M). The pivots are manufactured with extremely tight
tolerances and grease that is thick and viscous may not be
uniformly distributed through the pivot.
Because the chain stay bridge is in the way, to lube the
main bb pivot you will either need a long needle or you
will need to remove the top shock mount and let the rear
triangle sag out of the way

I’ve never actually managed to squeeze more than a tiny amount of grease into the grease nipples without it coming back out.

Seems to sort out any creaks though.

Same here – vanishingly small amount seems to go in, but creaks instantly stop.

I just use Weldtite, does the job. The Turner grease gun is pretty steep to so I just use a normal grease gun. I just take the shock out

Cheers Yogi your welcome. I usually put a a little grease in every 3 or 4 rides then strip them down and clean it all out at the end of the year. If you keep on it they last for years, without needing anything replacing.

My preferred grease is the finish line ceramic stuff, which is quite thin, but I may pick up a tube of superlube to see if its any better.
