The shock bolt on my ’10 5-Spot has disappeared! I can only assume that it snapped and fell out and I didn’t notice at the time…

Silverfish don’t have any replacements in at the moment

This thread – http://singletrackworld.com/forum/topic/wtd-turner-5-spot-dw-bits-and-pieces talked about using non-Turner parts, notably http://www.boltmeup.com/m5-x-6-x-40-shoulder-bolts-cap-allen-129-black-x-4-4553-p.asp.

Has anyone used non-Turner nuts & bolts and if so what did you use and where did you get them?

    Any help is much appreciated!

just email Greg @ Turner (via their website). he’ll probably post you out one foc. as silverfish have nothing in stock.

he’s a really nice chap and will bend over backwards to help.

Lost some of my Thomson bolts and found this fella on ebay. £1.10 for 5 bolts. He does loads of different sizes and lengths if of any use.

Replaced mine with titanium as the standards were going rusty. Pro bolt

Those bolts were the wrong size in the end from that thread you mention. They came through as 40mm on the shoulder length. They would have worked great otherwise. I went with silverfish after this set back

I will compare the bolts I bought with the ones from silverfish and confirm whether they would work if shoulder was 30mm

Thanks for all the replies. I’m a bit green when it comes to bolts, shoulder lengths and m sizes so not too sure what I am after.

campfreddie – good call, I’ll drop Greg an email.

downhilldave – always interested in a bit of titanium!
