    Can anybody help with this?

I use my road bike on the turbo with my usual wheels and a standard tyre at the moment. I have found a spare 26in MTB wheel in the shed though.
If I put a turbo tyre on it could I put it on the road bike and use this instead?

I know most frames will have different clearances, but thought I’d ask before spending time and money trying it. Anybody tried this kind of setup?

    Almost certainly not.

The rear axle will be wider and there might well be spacing issues with the stays and/or the rear brake.

    Thanks for the reply.

I was thinking the brakes/stays would be the issue, didn’t check the axle widths.
Not being a roadie I assumed they were 135mm same as older MTB spacing.
