So, first ride on a brand new tubeless tyre and I get a small hole in the sidewall that won’t seal. Whats a tried and tested method of repair if any?

Stick a patch on it using decent strong glue.

    Just a normal tube patch?

Yeah, worked for me, also used a piece of an old tyre sidewall.

There are proper inside tubeless patches available, think Weldite are someone that do them

How long do they last? Is it a long term fix?

Lasted the life of the tyre.

I cleaned the sealant residue off with a rag and a spray of brake cleaner, roughed it up a little and the just patched it as if it were a tube. Just make sure it’s fully cured before refitting and adding sealant (24hrs according to the glue I used)

One available patch kit – http://www.justridingalong.com/repair/tools/tyre-tube-repair/velox-tubeless-patch-kit-no-option.html

As above, a standard glue puncture repair patch on the inside has always worked for me.

Yeah, patch on the inside. Doesn’t need to be big- it’s not like a tube, it’s not fighting the air pressure.
