Just experimenting with fitting tubless tyres onto bike and run into first problem.

Rims are UST rims, valves have hard rubber plugs on inside of rim, plug is too big to let valve seat nicely into rim – is it just a matter of hammering it in? or is it the wrong valve?

    Mavic rims?

they will need UST type valves, Stansd do a standard valve which wont fit, its too big.

sonds like wrong walves, the rubber at the base of UST valves are rectangular not round.

Shimano XT wheels. The rubber block is rectangular, just seems too wide to fit into the rim
