Now here’s a thought. Has anyone converted open tubular tyres to tubeless? I suspect that the construction might not lend itself but my 30mm Challenge Strada Bianca’s would be even nicer without a tube 😆

I thought that going to road tubeless, whether its conversion or not, meant that you had to use dedicated tubeless tyres due to the pressures involved. The conversion bit is rim strip/tape and valve.

You can get away with normal tyres on a mtb because of the lower pressures but not on road wheels.

    Unless I’m missing something.

That’s what I was thinking but I must be turning into a woman, my brain is moving in illogical ways.
And wider road tubeless tyres are few and far between.

Yeah, I think they use a carbon bead rather than kevlar on normal folding tyres.

I’ve just order some Schwalbe Pro Ones to go tubeless 🙂

Bought them on ebay from Taiwan. We’ll see….
