I know it depends on many factors eg terrain / weight /riding style etc but just wondered how low people go before they are plauged by pinch flats on a regular basis? Also ...do you tend to keep pressures equal or lower on the front ?

it depends on volume, terrain, riding style.....but if you dink a rim you needed more air.

I don't often ride tubes, but have a new-ish bike that came with them - low 30s in front and high 30s at the back works well for me in general - that's rolling with some weight, mind, and using 2.2 RQs. Less than 30psi at the rear would feel a bit squishy, but it depends a lot on your weight.
Back in the day I used to run 55psi for some reason. Think it was down to learning to MTB with a bunch of roadies.
