Ive been offered a new 2013 sram/avid xx world cup brake set at under £200 .While thats more than half price i still dont want to get them if they dont work that well or are unreliable.Can any one shed some light as i can only find talk on the previous years which is very mixed but this year they have over hauled revised them.

The old style levers I think could have some problems if not bled perfectly. The updated levers have solved this. I run them on my Scale 29 and they have so far been excellent and I have not had any issues, although I have only used the bike for hour long forest loops and not any long alpine descents.

do you think there worth £185 for a complete set with hfx rotors then .im sticking them on my s/s build

I’d say so yes! The rotors alone are pricey.

Not unless they are very different to the rest of avids brakes which are inconsistent to say the least
