In the process of replacing the bearings on my Trek EX8 2009. I can find the 2 standard bearings, but not the ones with the extended inner race. Does anyone know where to get these?

    Rear ABP bearings (2): 6901-2RS, 12x24x6
    Chainstay pivot bearings (2): 6903, 17x30x7 w/ 3mm extendedinner race
    Rocker link bearings (4): 6900-2RS, 10x22x6

Probably direct from your local Trek dealer as they may well be custom bearings.

On a side note, why are you replacing the bearings on a bike thats under 12 months old? Do you pressure wash all the time?

Our demo 08 EX8 gets pressure washed & abused regulary & thats still perfect.

Maybe you have an out of alignment frame thats prematurely wearing bearings? I haven't had any EX from the last 2 years back with play issues yet.

My LBS replaced one FOC. The main pivot bearings have a lifetime warranty I believe.

As it turned out the play was in the drive side ABP, so just a plain bearing did the trick.

No bearings last long in Somerset mud Jamie 😕
