Windblows are a touch unpredictable.
Yours looks simple, but complicated by the shed.
Usual approach for clearing a wind blow edge would be to sever and pull back the stem, however I can’t see our tractor winch pulling in fast enough, even kicked into 1080, for the stem to clear the shed before hitting the deck. The hydraulic ones I’ve played with were slower still.
Next option would be sideways. However the little Fergie and tirfor will not be upto the job if there is even the slightest complication, shouldn’t underestimate the ability of one branch to suspend a whole tree. You don’t just have the weight of the tree. but the forces acting on it too.
Sideways with the aim to skid down the tree to the left of the shed if space is too tight to tie to other tree as earlier. Tractor winch behind tree in position to pull lengthways, snatch block to the side for sideways pull, big breakfast and strong shoulders for winch clutch.
Seen, but not tried, is a massive selection of pulleys, cables and counterweights to gently lower offending tree in stages after severing it.
40 ton hymac – can dominate most domestic situations.
Set fire to it is the most genius answer I’ve seen so far.
