Thanks to my amazing wife, I have the weekend cycling in Glentress and Innerleithen. Is there anything that I really shouldn’t miss? Nothing too extreme as I need to return in one piece.

You’ll get a full day out of Glentress, easy, just looking at the trail map and mixing and matching.

Innerliethen is where some advice is needed, as the marked xc loop is just a couple of hours, tops. There’s loads of DH trails there, if you locate where most of them start then this will give you a lot of choice. None of it is extreme IME, extreme to ride fast maybe, but you can ride down nae bother for the most part.
It’s a decent pull up there from the car park, though, so you’ll be feeling the ascents. If you could hit the uplift there that would be good – hammer Glentress one day and then uplift to the Innerliethen DH trails on the other.
