    when they get hungry they will snack on a nice bit of fresh cow or horse poo.

    I normally just take some gravy bones in my camelbak or if I forget she has a bit of my cereal bar (make sure you buy ones without chocolate and raisins as they are both toxic to dogs).

    How long you out for, mine get fed in the morning and again at night. No need for feeding whilst out on the trail. If they hungry they nibble horse shit. But normal ride with my dogs is no longer than 2-3 hours

    Other people lunch was a favourite but normally some dry food (from the massive bag in the kitchen) and a collapsible bowl for water on hot dry days.

    Kind of similar to what do you feed people – food they normally eat that can be packed in a bag.

    I walked the Dorset coast with Olive the French spaniel… And down at burton bradstock I had a really nice American breakfast and she had this for 50p
