I’m thinking of selling my current Winter Bike & MTB and buying a X bike.

I currenly have a Ribble bike with Campag on, I also have a MTB but I quite like the idea of poss selling both and buying a nice X Bike instead, 1 bike to do both jobs.

Am I MAD or NOT!!!

2 bikes > 1 bike. Always.

Buy an X bike as well or keep what you’ve got!

Or the serious answer is it depends what riding you do and do you like having a backup if one needs fixing?

Come full on winter you’ll miss the MTB.
I had the three road bikes and the crosser, but I needed an MTB to ensure all year round riding i.e night rides and when we got snow.

or buy a cross frame, transfer the campag equipment, and see how much you actually use it.
could always sell the road frame/mtb later.

Cross bike does not do the job of a mountain bike. Though it can be quite fun trying.

TBH, I dont really use my MTB all that much, ride with the kids etc, I have my main Race bike with I use all summer, winter bike for winter.

So I could get away with it.
