    I’ve had mine for a couple of years and they still hold a bottle nice and snug. I’m pretty certain you could buy any bottle cage and it will do the job.

    Get a PET adjustable bottle cage for proper touring. Lasted 9000km (still in very good nick) and securely held probably 20 different soft drinks bottles in that time.

    Specialized Rib Cage here. I have them on my bikes, plenty sturdy and acceptably inexpensive

    May have been down to my rough handling as they get bent out of shape quite often, but aluminium just doesn’t make much sense as a material for bottle cages & can get those elite ones in stainless steel pretty cheap so will give them a whirl, thanks for all the advice.
