    Well that was ace..
It really was quite a spectacle watching them arrive at Haytor..

Entirely agree – it was very impressive!

Who’d have believed that quite so many people would stand on the side of the road to cheer on a bicycle race on in this country too? I was at Teignmouth last year, and that was packed, but Haytor was something else. Even had chalking on the road!

Loads and loads of frothing mamils

    There were hundreds of them!

I rode in, and there was lots of ‘racing’ going on all the way in and most of the the way back out (I got dropped loads 😛 ).

I was greatly entertained by the odd looks my Peregrine was attracting, a mix of curiosity / suspicion / incomprehension and even what looked like alarm on the face of one chap (although perhaps that was just my beard, or my baggy shorts over 3/4 tights)?

Getting better each year this race!

Will be spectating in LOndon on Sunday.
My son will be racing on the course in the race for U12’s earlier in the afternoon 🙂
