    Anyone done the TMB bike route very late on, October time? Do the lower huts stay open so late in the year?

    Mrs ChrisE did it last two days sept first two Oct 2001. There was half a metre of snow on come of the cols. Most of the huts a website so check them. Certainly better doing it earlier if you can! The tops are (I think) about 2600m (8000ft).
