    Looking for a laptop. Main criteria are;

    1) Windows
    2) slim design – not a traditional one with dvd drive etc
    3) lightweight
    4) SSD would be good for speed/less moving parts.
    5) touch screen – larger than an ipad but not greater than 15″
    6) not too worried about it converting into a tablet etc but might consider a windows tablet with a detachable keyboard if it’s something you could sit on your lap and use for word processing for a couple of hours.
    7) it’s for my wife and being available in funky colours would be an advantage.

    Colleague has a Lenovo something or other which is brilliant but that was nearly £1000 and we’re not looking to spend quite that much

    Have a look at the Lenovo Yoga or Flex models in PC World. We’ve got the cheap Yoga and it’s fast enough despite the processor and hard drive. The build quality for a cheap laptop is very good. The Flex models come in different colours..
