    as above can I use a top pull front mech on a kinnissis maxlight xc 2 and do they use normal shifters?

    I have a top pull on my 2008 frame.

    Does anyone actually make hard tail frames with cable guides to fit down pull anymore? what with all the mud problems?

    depends whether the frame has a cable-stop welded on, surely ?

    … unless you use a backstop
