just had my frame chased and faced and a howitzer BB fitted. ive put on my crank arms and there is about 2mm of lateral play. do i need extra spacers on the BB? it has 2 drive side and 1 on the other!

The howitzer has the axle inside the BB doesn’t it?
Is the BB new? There shouldn’t be any lateral play on a BB with integrated axle as the spacers don’t change where the axle sits.

yeah, brand new. everything looks seated properly. just moves a bit too much for my liking

My howitzer has very little play, could it be that facing the frame means you now need an extra spacer?

May end up putting a chain guide on anyway. Hopefully that will ilimimate movement.
Any recomendations? For a 10 speed 38 tooth
