This could be a long one so please bare with me…
A local hotel owner has posted planning for a new building right on the sea front that is to be quite honest a monstrosity.
The land that it is proposed to be built on was originally sold to him with planning for a new development as a hotel, his latest scheme has turned this into a residential apartment complex. This all sailed through the local town planning authority with no objections and is now going to county planning.

So far on the council planning portal over 100 people have objected. Is this likely to make any difference at all when it gets to the county level planning?

Objections will be taken into account but they need to be valid objections ideally referencing the relevant section of the town plan. “I don’t like it” is not enough, even if 100 people write it.

search the web for other planning application objections for inspiration and fancy words to say and construct an argument.

Parking and traffic issues? Not in keeping with locality / local development plans, thats the sort of thing to object on . YOu need valid grounds
