After years of creaking, groaning and generally pi**ing me off ,my Orange Patriot became a different ride after fitting of a shimano quick release skewer on the rear wheel to do away with the one that came with the bike.
I cant beleive the difference it has made, in the past Ive changed the pivot bearings the bottom bracket and the cable outers and when id thought i'd cracked it ,it returned on the following ride.
A big shout out to my mate for suggesting the fix and I am looking forward to some quite riding in the future !

I had that exact same problem with a Spesh FSR Stumpjumper: I wasted alot of money on replacing bearings, drivetrain etc, only to find out it was the crap USE skewers that were the problem.

Shimano skewers all the way for me, now
