Been doing a fair bit of running lately, working towards a half marathon early next year. Have started to suffer in the nipple department. Any more than about the 3 miles and it seem to be a problem, not so much on the run itself, but aterwards.

    Any advice?

    Slap on the vaseline.

or a compression top that stops your moobs jiggling.

Plasters are fine unless you have a hairy chest

I may give vasaline a go. I have a ring of hair around each nipple, so plaser removal couple be painful.

Get some body glide and get some running specific tops, does not have to be tight fitting just not cotton as cotton chaffs .

Or micropore tape may be more cost effective. Also be a bit more selective with your tops. I have a couple where no issue at all (decathlon own brand) but one I got from the Alloa half, may as well be made from a cheese grater!

I bought a roll of cheap medical tape off ebay. You cut a tiny square to cover your teat. Doesn’t get caught in your hairs then.

technical tops can be pretty bad too.

its not the removing of the plasters its the tugging of the hairs as you your chest exoands and contracts/jiggles

I find wearing two layers helps, like a baselayer and t-shirt over the top. Not so good in summer though.

I found body glide a must, never had problems with my nipples but used to run 7 miles every other day and if I forgot to use body glide my todger would look and feel like it had serious sun burn.

Vaseline, or a base layer. I like the ventilated types, like the one from DHB, below. Saying that, I only ever really get joggers-nip when it’s raining..

Try a different make of top.

We don’t need to. Not since you told us to stick plasters on them, which we all went off and dutifully did, so theres nothing left there to wax now. Its as if million stwers cried out in terror and were suddenly silenced.

Skins type base layer or lots of vas does the trick. Benefit of the base layer is that it holds the wobbly bits in as well.

gets my vote – I wondered what all the fuss was about for years and years and years (pretty old) then one day it happened on quite a short run too …. wow pain big time
