  • TMARS dropper cable thru V-brake cable mounts?

    Anyone done it?

    I’m waiting on the dropper arriving and I was wondering if I can make use of the old V brake mounts on my frame. I guess it’s just a standard gear cable and outer?

    Can you see any downsides?

    you might need to drill the stops out.

    I was thinking about cutting the outer and using the stops as they would be used for brake cables, ie. expose the inner between the stops.

    Only downside is the possibility of extra crud in the sections of outer I’d imagine, same as it is for gear/brake cables.
