Any experiences of both – or too many other variables?

Depends on the ti bar you get. Thomson are very stiff to the point of being harsh. Black sheep are very flexible and take a lot of sting out of the ride. Most others i guess fall somewhwere inbetween.

Got Thomson and Kingdom in 31.8mm and a set of custom Seven 25.4mm,
The Seven are the most flexible obviously, you would be hard pushed to tell the difference between Thomson and Kingdoms though…apart from the cost.
    Wouldn’t want carbon bars thanks

Tooooo many variables, I run blacksheep and carver ti bars, easton, salsa and mt zoom carbon bars..the ti is more forgiving but heavier, but look lush on a ti bike, the carbon is light and stiff as a stiff thing. Ultimately its the shape and sweep of a bar that gives the comfort/ performance the materual is more about pimp factor for most Joe normal riders
